October 2nd 2010 at Island Park (331 N. Main, Mt. Pleasant in the SOUTH Pavilion) will be our first Annual Mt. Pleasant Pagan Pride Day. We are looking forward to presenting this event; we hope to gain community support as well as enlighten the public on the other religions and bring together others of like mind.

The Pagan Pride Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of prejudice and religious discrimination through education, activism, charity, and community. The Pagan Pride Project started a little over 10 years ago and is growing with new events every year. In 2009 there were 89 events in 33 states and 14 events in 6 other countries, with over 35,000 attendees. Together we collected over 24,000 lbs. of food and over 900 lbs. of animal food / care products. The future is looking bright in 2010 with over 120 events in almost every state in the US, across Canada, Philippines, Mexico, Bolivia, Germany, the UK, Italy, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Brazil.
