With the growing number of events and gathering at WRWSS and the growing number of people attending we have looked into a more cost effective and long term solution to renting port-a-pottys. After talking to the very helpful folks at the health department we have decided we want to build a two room outhouse. We want to use low voltage solar lighting and electric venting in the entire building and both rest rooms would be handicap accessible. The cost for a vault (septic tank ) delivery and setup will be approximately $1200. While the initial cost may seem a bit high, after doing a little number crunching the outhouse building could pay for itself in as little as three years.

With help from our friends at the Arbor Day Foundation, Mecosta County Conservation District, and local suppliers we are working to replant trees on the land used by WRWSS that was once cleared and used as farm land. Our goal it to not only provide a habitat for wildlife in the area but to also add to our Green Footprint. Each year we hope to plant at 100 to 200 seedling trees. Want to help plant? Check out our calender of event to see when we will be planting.

Funds Needed

Pine seedlings are going to cost us around $16 per bundle of 25. We would like to get at least 4 bundles. Also, we would like to replace some fruit trees and the willows. They will cost about $30 each.

The Wolf Run Wildlife & Spiritual Sanctuary’s Animal Rescue Program is
dedicated to helping animals that have for one reason or another been
put in un-healthy environments. Be it they are the unwanted product
of un-managed breeding, or victims of abuse and neglect. We feel it
is our duty to step forward to help these animals in any way we can.

We try to accomplish this a number of ways. One is to provide them
with a temporary home either here at the sanctuary or with a foster
family until a more permanent home can be found.

Another way we are hoping to help is to work with veterinarians by
providing a comprehensive database of veterinarian offices and their
charges for basic spay / neuter services.

Together we can provide a loving and
healthy environment for our animal friends.

How can you help? There are several ways.

1. Spread the word. Let others know we are here.
   Word of mouth, links on web sites or in e-mails can work wonders.
2. Let us know if you would be interested in becoming a foster parent.
3. If possible, adopt one of the animals we currently have up for adoption
4. Donations to help cover the cost of housing and caring for the animals are always appreciated
5. If you own/operate a veterinarian office and wish to be added to our database please let us know.

And remember, if you have dogs or cats, please spay or neuter them.

Note: Currently WRWSS is limited to only being able to assist with domestic animals
